Nice to meet you, my name is Tyler Kim, an industrial design student at Art Center.

After I discovered my love and interest in art, I was introduced to product design and the endless possibilities that came with it. I realized that product design has the capability to open an endless number of doors; by combining my love for design with my other passions, I'm able to not only create products based on my hobbies, but I can help people who require more care such as my little brother.  

 

One of my goals as a designer is to create products that improve the quality of life for individuals who require more attention and thought. I want to take part in creating a world that’s designed and accessible to everyone. Moreover, I aim to create products people don’t expect; a product that stumbles between the lines of order and chaos.  

 

We as designers, have the ability to alter the quality of life for millions, which is why we must design responsibly, thoughtfully, and with love.
